We’ve lost a giant, and I don’t mind admitting to feeling heartbroken. Chadwick Boseman, perhaps most famous for his passionate portrayal of King T’Challa in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and star of Black Panther, has passed away aged 43.

He’d been diagnosed with cancer four years ago, but kept it a secret from the world. In that time he embraced his role as the King of Wakanda, creating an important cultural moment for black people everywhere.

Of course, whilst his Marvel role may be his most famous, Boseman has made other movies and touched other lives. Even as he fought his battle with this horrible disease, he kept on working. He never complained, he never stopped. Chadwick Boseman truly is our King.
