Between Times

Between Times

Yesterday I left my sofa selling job for the final time. I did pop in there this morning to pick up a card and some beers they’d generously got me, but as far as working there is concerned, it’s done, it’s finished. I am now, for a few days, between jobs – before my new venture starts on Saturday.

It’s all a bit strange. The next couple of days will feel like regular days off. When I return to work, it will be in a new environment, albeit a familiar one in many respects. I am going to miss quite a few people from where I just left, but I won’t miss the stress over KPIs and options. In that respect, a weight has been lifted. New forms of pressure are just around the corner, but they will be in a form I’ll be used to. I am looking forward to this.
