Interesting question. I don’t think I ‘associate’ with any given brand, unless you count the company I work for, and outside of work, I don’t tend to actively speak of it, unless asked. Brand loyalty is not a big deal to me. I have been ‘associated’ with the same mobile phone provider, and the same bank, since I was in my late teens, but not out of any innate sense of loyalty. They have provided me with continually reliable service, so I have remained with them. If they were to create serious problems for me, I would look elsewhere.
I certainly don’t associate myself with those brands. That would imply some aspect of those brands was a part of who I am as a person, and that could not be further from the truth.
