Has it been nine years, already?! From humble beginnings, to a little corner of the web that I am proud to call my own, it has been quite a journey! I’ll confess that the ninth anniversary of Meerkat Musings crept up on me a little bit, and I only remembered it because I’ve been preparing a 10th anniversary post (yeah, I know, I’ve started that one quite early!).
Next year is going to feel extra-special, and the post I’m preparing will hopefully reflect the decade of site history, but nine years is still a good milestone, no? It’s something to make note of. I went into this not knowing if I’d carve out much of a niche, and whilst I can hardly boast a dramatically busy site in terms of raw numbers, I’d like to think I’ve done alright. Besides, I don’t do it for the numbers. I do it because I enjoy it, and after nine years, I still do. Here’s to many more years!
