Lies on top of Lies

It seems that Silence of Mind is rattled. After he waded into the comments of this post by Bruce Gerencser, he was always on a hiding to nothing, and so it proved. In his righteous fury, he has repeated debunked arguments about atheists being murders, ignored the violence of Christian history, and overlooked the volumes of Old Testament violence.

Maybe he hasn’t overlooked them. Perhaps it’s worse, perhaps he has tried to justify them. To quote SoM, via a comment he left on Bruce’s post:

Our civil society of today was made possible by all the evil that was wiped from the face of the earth during Old Testament Antiquity.

From the Book of Leviticus: You will eat the flesh of your sons and the flesh of your daughters. I will destroy your high places, cut down your incense altars and pile your dead bodies on the lifeless forms of your idols, and I will abhor you. I will turn your cities into ruins and lay waste your sanctuaries, and I will take no delight in the pleasing aroma of your offerings. I will lay waste the land, so that your enemies who live there will be appalled. I will scatter you among the nations and will draw out my sword and pursue you. Your land will be laid waste, and your cities will lie in ruins.

Say what now?! Do you know what this punishment is for? It is for, among other things, planting two kinds of seeds in one field, and wearing clothing made from two different types of material. Oh, how frightfully evil!

SoM has spun a fresh yarn, shall we take a look?

Atheism is the belief that everything just happened all by itself. Such belief is self evidently stupid especially in view of modern science. Cause and effect are the very foundation of modern science. Something caused the universe to come into being. That something was called the First Cause, by ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle. That First Cause from which sprang reality is God, by definition.

Maybe something did create the universe. That ‘something’ does not have to be God, as defined by any of the world’s religions. At the moment, we lack the ability to understand how the universe came into being, but that does not mean we will always lack this knowledge. There was a time when we thought the Sun and the Moon were gods, and when we thought the earth was flat. At one time, people believed balancing the humours would resolve medical problems. Science and research has led us to understand the universe in greater and greater detail, and science will continue to do so.

The other issue is, what version of God? SoM is clearly a devout Christian, so presumably he believes that this ‘first cause’ God is God, as presented in the Bible, but he cannot prove that.

Thus, atheism is deadly because it is superstitious. By reason we know that everything has a cause. By reason we know that God is the First Cause of reality. Atheist superstition harkens back to genocidal barbarians like the the Canaanite tribe, the Philistines.

Therefore, it is no surprise that the greatest genocides of modern times have been committed by atheists. Atheists Joseph Stalin and Mao Tse Tung combined, mass murdered 100,000,000 of their own people.

Have any Christians out there tried conversing with atheist bloggers? I have. To the last man and woman atheist, they are mendacious lairs. Because they are genocidal totalitarians by nature, the first thing they do is attempt to commandeer the conversation away from the pursuit of truth. Then they redefine the truth with a pack of lies. This is commonly called “The Narrative.”

Atheists do not think. Atheists, in zombie-like fashion, recite narratives. Any challenge to their narrative is met with a storm of idiotic, prepackaged memes, idiotic denials, outright lies and censorship.

Does any of this sound familiar? After all, we now live in an atheist society. The following inevitably happens in an atheist society:

  1. The truth is censored. The atheist narrative amplified.
  2. Vocal opponents of the atheist narrative are imprisoned or ruined.
  3. Finally, since atheists find truth profoundly repugnant, they will begin the mass murder of all their opponents.

Is this my opinion? No, this is history.

I almost wonder if SoM is in fact trolling radical Christians with these deeply ironic posts of his. As he did in his previous post, he unreasonably and dishonestly conflates atheism with communism, completely ignores the history of Christian violence (the Crusades say hello, and do the numerous conflicts between Catholics and Protestants), and accuses atheists of group-think, even though SoM has allowed himself to be programmed by the Bible, into thinking along the exact same lines as countless other Christians. The truth is not censored – SoM has a website, and in it, he rants, and he is free to. His notions of censorship, imprisonment and worse, are funnily enough, straight from the Christian playbook of the Middle Ages – or did he forget the Church’s treatment of Galileo Galilei?
