We’re watching Frozen 2, and as with the first film, it manages to tug at the heartstrings. People often underestimate kids movies, assuming them to be simple, devoid of depth, meaning and story. That simply isn’t true (certainly not of the best ones). A lot of kids films these days treat their audience with respect. They don’t assume the minds of children are basic – a great example would be the Incredibles movies, but there are many others.

So if someone mocks you for enjoying kids movies, you should laugh and wonder why they struggle to enjoy them.
