The place I do nearly all my writing is upon my sofa, with the laptop on my, erm, lap. Very occasionally, I’ll sit at the dining table, but that’s extremely rare. However, the dream would be a classic, old-fashioned personal office, like you see in stately homes, complete with a bookshelf filled with books, and perhaps my own coffee maker nearby (because caffeine is a writer’s best friend).
