Well, perhaps I should say nastier. Some observations have yielded a spot of misogynistic body-shaming, namely by attacking the weight of DSC character Sylvia Tilly (and therefore by extension, the actress who plays her, Mary Wiseman).
Firstly, I’m not sure by what yardstick they can describe her as ‘fat’, unless that yardstick is based on female characters existing purely to please the male eye, by conforming to stereotypical views of the female form. Secondly, they appear to have little to say about male characters that could, by the same yardstick, be termed overweight. It’s sexism 101, and I doubt we will see the last of it from these misogynistic assholes.
