On the 4th of July, UK voters will go to the polls with the opportunity to send a message. After fourteen years of woeful and inept governance by the Tories, Britons can kick them out. Whether this plays out is a different story, but the opportunity is there, and it must be seized. The Tories have ruined Britain, especially over the past five years, and have lurched from one self-inflicted, damaging crisis to another. Five more years of the same is not acceptable, yet there are still people out there who believe the Tories are somehow better than the alternatives, despite everything that’s happened over the past fourteen years.
Political dogma is a very real problem. People will cling to ideology, even when it is demonstrably bad for them. I could speculate as to why, but that’s for another time. Suffice to say, the time has come to remove this awful bunch of self-serving parasites from power.
