The passage of time cannot, in every circumstance, retire pain and grief. It might ease, but it doesn’t go away. On occasions like today, the 15th anniversary of the London bombings, it becomes raw again.
There is more that unites us than divides us. The forces at work who would thrive upon hatred failed then, and they continue to fail now. They are the worst of us, but the best of us always rises. We remember those taken from us, and we honour them by not submitting to fear.
