The WordPress Prompt of the Day caught my eye today, which is a little unusual. This is all about one of my passions, namely tattoos, so I simply had to answer it!
I only recently got my 12th tattoo, but as most people with tattoos will tell you, you start planning the next one almost as soon as you’ve had the last one, and for the next one, I’m considering three at once. These would form a small cluster, intended to honour my mother, father and brother.
Since my mother got me into Star Trek, and sci-fi in general, I figured the original 1960s USS Enterprise model would be a good tattoo to honour her, whilst my father has long-loved Eric Clapton’s guitar-twanging tunes, so a guitar feels like a good tattoo to get for him. For my brother, who loves Game of Thrones and also Warhammer, I am a little torn, but leaning toward a dire wolf tattoo from Game of Thrones.
As to where I’d put them, I was thinking stomach, which would mark new territory for me. All of my existing tattoos are on my arms, and they’ve all been fine, though I hear the stomach is more painful. I won’t know till I try!
An alternative idea, which I had originally considered for my last tattoo, is an Arwing fighter from the Star Fox video game franchise. I may well circle back to this, though it would realistically go on one of my arms.
