You get to build your perfect space for reading and writing. What’s it like?
I can imagine my favourite writing and reading space quite easily. Whether I had an old-fashioned stately home, or a modern, chic house, I’d desire a smallish space with a sturdy desk, a couple of bookshelves, a pleasant view from a small window, and a decent laptop with which to write. A small sofa, possibly an armchair, would provide a warm place to read.
Perhaps I’d have a small decanter of whisky to enjoy, and some means of enjoying music. Maybe the decor would be that of classic old English gentry, with tartan rugs and whatnot, or if I were looking to a modern theme, bright colours and lots of natural light might take over. Either way, it would be comfortable, warm, and a space I could shut off from the outside world. I could be very happy with that.
