Comment On This: Charlie Kirk’s Death Destroying People’s Lives and Perhaps the Entire Country From Beyond the Grave

Reading time: 2 minutes

Kirk’s death is the gift that keeps on giving to the oligarchs. Liberals are being fired for quoting Kirk in their social media and conservatives may ignite their long sough civil war. What do you think?

Comment On This: Charlie Kirk’s Death Destroying People’s Lives and Perhaps the Entire Country From Beyond the Grave

Time for another reblog, via Calico Jack of The Psy of Life. The pertinent point at work here is the stance, as Jack describes in great detail, that Republicans are doggedly indulging in what they have long-decried, namely cancel culture. They are actively encouraging employers to sack anyone found to be criticising the views and opinions of Charlie Kirk. Indeed, the vice president is encouraging this behaviour.

The hypocrisy of the conservative right seems to know no bounds. From incendiary rhetoric that speaks of civil war, to overlooking the statistical reality that right-wing violence is actually worse, conservatives are, generally speaking, disconnected from reality, and it seems they will continue to be disconnected, thanks to the language used by those in the highest positions of authority. Little will change whilst that behaviour continues.

PS: For those who continue to suggest that the left is more violent than the right, this link is an interesting resource that underscores how in the USA, the right has been a source of more violence. I suspect it will largely fall on deaf ears, but you never know.
