I’m not one to brag, but I love this tattoo. I’m so very pleased I had it done, for it is so me. Timon is a neurotic guy who eventually knuckles down to help his friends. I’d like to think I am the same way, so I am very proud of this! Also, I take my hat off to the tattoo artist – a great job!
Loving the ink. Where is that, your forearm?
Yeah – someone said I should get a to-scale Pumba next… Erk!
This is your first tattoo? Wait until it heals a bit & you completely forget that it hurt. You’ll want another one! LOL
Timon is my third – and easily the biggest! My daughter’s name and a Star Trek tattoo are the other two!
Oh my! So you’re already addicted.
I want more. Avengers next, or possibly Doctor Who, or Star Wars, or The Legend of Zelda, aaaargh, so many choices!
Oh man… So, I know this idea is totally impractical (you being a responsible adult with a family), but I think you’d do great with a huuuuge back piece, where the artist draws a crowd scene of all your favorite characters. Like, you’d see the Avengers standing next to Link, maybe Thor & him clashing their respective iconic weapons. I’m pretty sure it’s been done, but it would look really cool. lol
Oooh, a combo piece would be interesting! Whether I’d have the patience (or pain endurance!) to pull that off is another thing!
Not to mention the cost of such an endeavor, of course.
The best thing about large pieces is – you don’t have to (&, in most cases, shouldn’t) do it all at once! Just get the whole concept drawn out by one artist, keep a copy of the image for yourself, & start one section at a time! LOL
love it! I’m still trying to decide on something as a first tat. My husband has the Cheshire Cat from the movie on his arm: https://clubschadenfreude.com/2017/04/27/from-the-kitchen-and-from-the-bar-new-beers-new-food-and-a-tattoo/
That Cheshire Cat looks absolutely amazing and well beyond my range for patience! Hence the small, black silhouette tattoos, which include my little girl’s name, and the Starfleet logo 🙂 If you’re into Marvel, perhaps the Avengers logo for a first one? Though in the end, as these things always are, it’s a deeply personal thing.
