It goes without saying that Timon is copyrighted to Disney.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Long before I donned the meerkat fursona, there was Timon, a neurotic, anxious, slightly sarcastic and utterly loyal meerkat. He might have been nervous, but he would fight for his friends. His jumpy, scatty nature rendered him my spirit animal, as it were.<\/p>\n\n\n

I might have made this face, on the numerous occasions where my wife and daughter have jump-scared me.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Such is my love of Timon that I even have a tattoo of this loveable meerkat:<\/p>\n\n\n

You’ll have to forgive the intrusion of Sonic above.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Whilst Timon speaks to me on a spiritual level, it would be remiss of me not to pay my respects to some other cartoon characters that I love. Take for example, Scrooge McDuck, especially as portrayed by David Tennant in the 2017 DuckTales<\/em> reboot.<\/p>\n\n\n

Is this post turning into an excuse to show off tattoos? Maybe. Still, whilst Scrooge has been marvellously entertaining, Timon is my favourite. He wins, so to speak. I certainly have more in common with the nervous meerkat, than the billionaire, intelligent duck!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
