What\u2019s a song that always puts you in a good mood?<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

I misread this prompt, taking it to mean ‘what puts you in a good mood?’ I have a few answers to that<\/strong> question, including food, and… well, I’m a red-blooded mammal, I’m pretty sure you can figure out what another answer is from that!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If I am to rewind for a moment, and ponder the actual prompt, what songs do I generally find to be upbeat? What energises me, what tunes make me smile? Well, one I’ve found quite motivational of late is Hear My Hope, from Hazbin Hotel<\/em>. The message is one of encouragement and of coming together when times are tough, to face down a common foe. It’s provided fire in the belly of late.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ve always found Larger Than Life by the Backstreet Boys to a pumping song, one that certainly lifts me and gets me fired up. The same can be said of I Don’t Want To Miss a Thing, by Aerosmith. Lanterns by Birds of Tokyo is a wonderfully motivational song, and it’s not the only one Birds of Tokyo have in their song list. To this day, Hakuna Matata from The Lion King<\/em> still puts a smile on my face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lady Gaga’s Stupid Love is an enjoyable number, so too is Christina Aguilera’s Gene in a Bottle. I could go on to list many more songs that I find inspiring, but how long do I want this post to be? I could list a great many Weird Al Yankovic songs that have provided great entertainment, but then I’d end up having to split this post in two! I wonder though, could I pick just one song?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No. I couldn’t. Precisely what song might raise my spirits depends on my initial mood, and the sort of buzz I’m seeking. Different songs carry different meaning to me at different times. My favourite song is a fluid concept, and thus so is the song that will place me in a happy space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
