There are many times when you have to stop and consider ‘how far is too far?’ At what stage can we say ‘right, this situation or this person has taken things to an intolerable point?’ Your mileage will vary, but considering his performance in opinion polls, with one serious problem after another (usually of his own making), you’d think US president Donald Trump would stop making things worse for himself, and forcing more and more of his followers to doubt his credibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unfortunately for Trump, he does not seem able to stop digging himself into a hole. Alongside the rising cost of living problem, the money poured into the ill-advised conflict with Iran, and the Epstein files (none of which seems to have shifted his worshippers into rethinking their adoration), Trump has now put a dent in his core base, even on his own social media platform, Truth Social.<\/p>\n\n\n

Whilst Trump has denied attempting to portray himself as Jesus, everyone should consider that Trump has a massive ego, and a huge inflated opinion of his own importance. Everybody should also consider that Trump is a liar. He might have deleted the post and claimed he was aiming to portray himself as a doctor, but in what universe could that image be interpreted as ‘Trump, medical professional!’?!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This isn’t the first unhinged post on social media, and somehow it won’t be the last, yet this time, he might have finally pushed some of his devout worshippers too far. There’s been a backlash on Truth Social, and you love to see it. Of course, it’s kind of sad that his various failures aren’t the reason why, but anything that opens people’s eyes to Trump’s true narcissistic nature has to be seen as a win. What is troublesome is that I can already picture some of the responses to this very post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are those who will still<\/strong> adore Trump, and worship him, despite his blasphemy. It’s that, or they will insist he ought to be forgiven, even though deep down they know<\/strong> Trump regards himself as a messianic figure. As is by now the norm, these people will never practice what they preach where anyone else is concerned. Trump will receive special treatment and unique dispensation from his worshippers. Well, those who he hasn’t lost to this latest poor stunt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What this all goes to show is that sometimes the bar can be set so low that an ant could barely squeeze under it, and yet despite this, Trump will find a way to go lower, and his adoring fans will not question it. They are too blinded by ideology. There’s no such thing as too far where Trump is concerned, not with the most devout fanatics! At least we are seeing more moderate, reasonable right-wingers coming to see that Trump is doing a poor job, and that he is increasingly unstable. What will it take to convince the rest though?!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
