The prompt listed for the 6th of September 2025 is <em>If you were given the opportunity to write a book, what kind of book would it be?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Well, in many respects this prompt is easy for me, since I&#8217;ve already had that opportunity! As many of you who read this blog will know, I published my first book, <em><a href=\"https:\/\/meerkatmusings.co.uk\/?book=the-awakening\">The Awakening<\/a><\/em>, a few years back, and it&#8217;s science fiction, which shall come as no surprise to anyone who knows me. I was fortunate to find a publisher (in the shape of Jumpmaster Press) willing to take on my earlier, self-published version, and polish it to a level they were willing to put their name to. They gave me the time and the opportunity to develop a story I can be proud of, and if I had to do the same journey all over again, I&#8217;d do it in the same way. Sci-fi is my thing, my jam, so to speak, and I certainly aim to keep on writing sci-fi, with a dash of fantasy thrown in too.
