Down the years, I have bought – and received as gifts – quite a few t-shirts. Some of them are what I would describe as ‘smart’ t-shirts, still casual in the sense that it’s a t-shirt, rather than a button-up shirt, but smart in the sense that they don’t have, shall we say, entertaining<\/strong> imagery or slogans. I do rather like these t-shirts, they are good for going out in, but the creative meerkat in me prefers the more… not outrageous per se… let’s say exuberant t-shirts in my collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The reason being is that the colourful, expressive t-shirts speak a bit to who I am. After not being especially interested in embracing my geeky side, I now wear my geekdom with pride. My tattoos are one vehicle for this. This blog is another. Some of my t-shirts are still another means to help me be who I am. I have t-shirts that relate to video games, such as The Legend of Zelda<\/em> and Sonic the Hedgehog<\/em>. I have t-shirts that show off my love of Star Trek<\/em> and Star Wars<\/em>. I have shirts that relate to The Lion King<\/em> and Lord of the Rings<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m not an especially vain meerkat, so I don’t seek out designer labels (though I have received a few as birthday and Christmas presents, and I do appreciate them). The quirky, imaginative, fun t-shirts are the ones I am inclined to seek out myself. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I also have a trend to prefer wearing t-shirts, even in cold weather. I don’t especially like jumpers and cardigans, though if it’s cold enough, I will wear them. What I tend to do is wear a vest under my t-shirt, as my first port of call if I need an extra layer. If I have to wear a jumper… well, sadly my jumper collection is limited, and not especially expressive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
