The other day, Mr David Thiessen of Theology Archaeology became so enraged by a factual statement, that he spoke of legal action against me<\/a>. Well, he spoke of legal action against MM, not myself, for he remains too afraid of me to be professional, or honest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I stated, over at Ark’s site,<\/a> that Mr Thiessen holds women in contempt. I see no particular reason to retract my statement. Mr Thiessen’s attitude towards women has often been dubious at best. On the basis of Mr Thiessen’s comments, and indeed, spectacularly hypocritical actions, what reason do I have to reconsider my stance? He may wish to issue vague warnings, and speak of legal action, but first, he should check to make certain he is not holding a monkey’s paw. He has said, more than once, that women should not have bodily autonomy, even flippantly dismissing the risk of death to underage girls when they fall pregnant. He has repeatedly complained that ‘women lie’ regarding abuse and assault, yet also whined that women do not speak up about abuse and assault. He cannot seem to understand that his attitude – so readily casting doubt as to their motives – is a big part of why women do not come forward in the first place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You need only look at his rage-fuelled rant about breast-feeding<\/a> to get a clearer picture as to how he views women (one example of many). His fury that women might dare to act in the interests of their child, and not in his<\/strong> interests( hidden beneath claims of godly behaviour), is plain for all to see.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If he wishes to pursue legal action, then he ought to be aware that his dishonest implication I run a Nazi-esque comments policy will come under further scrutiny. Then there’s his false accusations here<\/a>, where he claimed I was demanding things of him. I have the emails to prove otherwise. There are his repeated, yet always unsubstantiated claims that I distort his arguments. There was his strange, deceiving mileage<\/a> he took from a very brief post I wrote when in a bad mood. There was the occasion that Mr Thiessen tried to imply I supported murdering Christians<\/a>. Indeed, to quote him:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yet he has no qualms about murdering or seeing murdered innocent Christians. He has totally lost it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He apologised for this, but then removed that apology<\/a>; by his own admission, apologising to me worked him into such a frenzy that he could not sleep! He claimed he did not recant his apology, but removing it would certainly imply a lack of sincerity on his part. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, not only can I substantiate my claims, I can take Mr Thiessen to task for quite a few errant claims of his own, including some pretty serious assaults on my character. He is fortunate that he is not in an actionable set of circumstances, and fortunate that I am not particularly inclined to waste time and effort pursuing these matters. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
