Down the years, I have encountered numerous other bloggers, and a variety of thoughts, ideas, opinions and passions. It would be fair to say that I do not necessarily agree with the views and beliefs of all those I link to, but I link to them anyway, because let’s face it, no one will agree with everyone on everything (what a dull world it would be if we did), and because they are sites I find interesting. In some cases, I happen to be rather fond of the site’s author! Without further adieu, let me show you the ‘kats of interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Life and Times of Bruce Gerencser<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If I could sum up Bruce in a word, I would say ‘honest’. Here is a man who has bared his soul, and shared his story of his personal history, what drove him to become a diehard Evangelical pastor, and what led to him shedding his Christian beliefs to become an atheist. Bruce has a passionate following, and I am proud to be among them. He writes of religious, political, social and personal issues in an eloquent, heart-felt way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Filosofa’s Word<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Run by the feisty and frankly brilliant Jill Dennison, Filosofa’s Word does not hold back from critiquing US gun laws, Donald Trump, and the GOP. She also regularly posts some very entertaining memes, usually in resistance to Mondays!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Citizen Tom<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It would be fair to say that Tom and I do not see eye to eye on virtually every topic we’ve discussed. You may therefore be wondering why I would provide a link to his site, and the answer is because despite our disagreements, or perhaps even because of them, he and I have had a number of stimulating and thought-provoking discussions. I suspect we will have more in the future, but I am content to say that, so far, they have been civil, if not cordial, which is a rarity in the online world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beetley Pete<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pete shares musings and thoughts from England’s East Anglian region, and offers a Londoner’s perspective on life out in the country. He also shares funny memes, and a great many short stories to keep us all entertained and out of trouble!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nan’s Notebook<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nan is outspoken about their thorough disdain for how US Republicans view women and women’s rights, and makes no secret that they are no lover of Christianity. They are an engaging conversationalist, and they also run Chasing the Muses<\/a>, a creative site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Portfolio of Hope<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Run by Lisa Raine, Portfolio of Hope is a great resource for those who pursue social equality and justice. She also writes about mental health, a topic that for all the progress we have made, remains one all-too easily dismissed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Psy of Life<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Authored by Calico Jack, The Psy of Life is a site I discovered only recently, and it has swiftly struck me as a witty, intelligent and sharp site. Jack’s writing style is very entertaining, and his points regarding Donald Trump are on-point (at least, in this meerkat’s opinion).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Writing Radiation<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the domain of Ariel Lynn, a friend who is also thoughtful, funny, and offers up a host of thoughts across a range of subjects!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dhole Moments<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There’s never a dull moment with Dhole Moments! Run by Soatok, I have found this site to be brilliant. Soatok speaks of matters pertaining to the furry fandom, and also to IT. He has some outspoken-but-well-informed opinions on cyber security as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rawen’s Musings<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I discovered Rawen’s Musings via Mastodon, and I am so glad I did. Rawen is eloquent, forthright, and it didn’t take very long for me to conclude he has a beautiful soul. There is a raw honesty to his writing that I for one find quite captivating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More Odds than Ends<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m always on the lookout for interesting sites, and More Odds than Ends, which features quirky writing prompts, is certainly such a site. The site’s author, Fiona Grey, takes submissions, then dishes them out to those who sign up. I am very intrigued to see where this leads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bearly Politics<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is, quite frankly, one of the best sites for political snark, and searing ripostes to a lot of hard-right nonsense. Iratus takes no prisoners with trolls, the ignorant, and the dishonest. It is quite the joy to behold!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
