What?!

So I’m sitting on the train as I head to work, and as sometimes happens, I overhear a conversation. Today I overheard a conversation that was worrying on a number of levels.

A young woman was on the phone to one of her friends, talking about a party she was at, and a man she met there. Ho hum at this point. She mentioned that she ‘thought he was alright’, in the context of nice guy.

It turns out she’d been drugged, possibly with speed, and it just so happened she was in a fortunate enough set of circumstances where this ‘man’ wasn’t able to take advantage of her.

MRAs and MGTOWs, this right here is the frightening attitude of male entitlement that feminism exists to oppose. The ‘man’ responsible for this was a wolf in sheep’s clothing, prepared to do whatever he felt was necessary to have his way with this young woman, irrespective of her wishes. Or, to put it another way, he was prepared to drug and rape her. So whilst you might moan about a woman who did you wrong, will you offer any kind of voice against this sort of thing? What’s worse is that, judging from the conversation I overheard, she didn’t do anything about it! It might be that she didn’t get a name with which to follow it up. It might be that she sees it simply as how society is, and therefore there’s no point. She might even feel the police would dismiss it, or say they’re understaffed and unable to follow it up without more details. What’s scary is that there is a man out there who is fully prepared to drug women – and he won’t be alone.
