I’m at work, seeing out my notice period, because working it will influence my pay packet for the better. However, I am not booking any new business, because there’s no point – I’m paid on what’s delivered, and when lead times for sofas are anywhere from six weeks to thirteen weeks, it makes sense for me to pass business on to my colleagues. On quiet days (such as today), I’m wondering if simply having the time off as holiday would have been a better idea. Still, I get paid unspent holiday too, so holding on will prove financially worthwhile. It’s just hard to stay motivated. There’s little point in engaging too much with customers, so I’m pretty bored for the most part.
The end is in sight though. I only have to endure for a few more days.
