If any of you have been wondering where I’ve been this past week, as I know I’ve been quite incognito, I’ve been away with the family – firstly, to a resort called Potters, in Norfolk, and then to a barbecue at my brother’s house.
It was a short break but it was a chance to remove myself from the daily routine of work and do something a little different – though truth be told, I personally didn’t do a lot at all, for I just wanted to unwind a little. My daughter though, tackled archery for the first time (and got a medal for her efforts!), and did a bungee trampoline thingy that she really enjoyed, and we went swimming pretty much every day. We did a bit of bowling and I played air hockey with my 3 year-old nephew. My brother spanked me at the fuss-ball table.
In the end, it was nice to escape, but it is always nice to return home at the end of a trip. Routine is nice to break, but it’s nice to have at the same time, ya know?

Your pictures are FANTASTIC! What a beautiful get-away.
It was lovely. Getting a cold soak from the water bucket every day was a bit of a chore but my daughter loved that!
