Ahem. So this is all about my little girl. The arrival of a female Doctor in Doctor Who has proven inspirational to her. Not only has my daughter taken an interest in Doctor Who (she has made it clear she finds the Daleks and Cybermen to be terrifying), she is rightly operating with the belief that women and girls can do anything. We have a model sonic screwdriver and she’s running around with it, fighting evil – as the Doctor does! Slowly but surely we’re getting more and more female role models, which is great to see!
